Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman was a U.S. Olympic captain for the team that took home gold in the year 2012. She has earned six Olympic medals in total as well as being a part of two gold-medal-winning World Championships teams. Born in Needham, Massachusetts, Aly's enthusiasm for sport is traced to an early "mommy and me" gymnastics class she attended when she was just 18 months old. Aly has been an active proponent of body positivity and is a leader as well as an activist at the table. Recently, she spoke out in Larry Nassar's sentencing case. Aly Raisman was born in 1994 and began gymnastics career at a very young age. She assisted to help the U.S. Gymnastics Team win the 2011 World Championships. The year 2012 saw Raisman win two gold medals during the London Olympics - one in the team event and one for individual floor exercise - and also one bronze on the beam. Raisman received silver in both the individual and floor finals of the 2016 Olympics at Rio. She also took home a gold medal in the gymnastics team competition. In 2017, Raisman revealed she had suffered sexual assault at the treatment of team physician Larry Nassar, and the following year she sued USA Gymnastics and the U.S. Olympic Committee.
